The Truth about Cedar by Celeste Brinson, MSc
It's not really Cedar at all! Cedar Fever is an allergic response to Juniper. Throughout the year, Juniper releases allergens that can irritate some while debilitating others. When the pollen count is extremely high, most people can feel a few symptoms such as fatigue, headache, and sinus discomfort.
Who Gets It?
Some people don't get it at all, others have some symptoms of it most of the year. Cedar fever has been acknowledged as something you "get over time" or are immune to if you are born in areas with Juniper. Unfortunately, many people in these categories still suffer while others don't feel a thing.
What Can Be Done?
Local Herbalist Carlos Hernandez Calderoni has created what he calls Cedar Serum. He uses local Juniper samples all year round to make this "inoculate" to Cedar Fever. You simply start with one drop a day and increase each day by one drop until you have reached 15 drops. Then, throughout the duration of the season, you stick to your daily 15. If the directions are followed exactly, there are generally no side effects or symptoms. In a honey base, this serum is delicious and can be taken safely.
How Well Does This Work?
All of the responses that I have gotten from our clients have been extremely positive. For those severe sufferers, Cedar Serum has given them about 80% relief! For people like me, who occasionally get a "cedar headache", the Serum has offered almost 100% relief. Beginning 3,000 years ago, Chris will explore how astrology has evolved through time, shaping and being shaped by the cultures it encountered. By understanding the roots of astrology, we can inform and improve the practice of astrology today.
Chris Brennan is a practicing astrologer and researcher from Denver, Colorado. Specializing in cross-cultural perspectives in astrology, Chris studied at Kepler College and Project Hindsight. He is the author of the forthcoming book Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune. Currently, Chris serves as the president of the Association for Young Astrologers and the Research Director of the National Council for Geocosmic Research.
